The town of Horovice is a cultural, administrative and production center of a region which lies on the natural border of Krivoklat forests, Czech Karst and Brdy Mountains. This area is known for its untouched countryside and many historic monuments - eg. the castles of Zebrak, Tocnik, Horovice Palace.

Horovice belongs to a so called "Castle Road" - "Die Burgenstrasse". This 975 km long road starts in Mannheim and finishes in Prague. Along the way there are 70 castles and palaces.
